Hey, I'm Mack!
I'm a professional problem solver and consultant with 50 years of experience solving tough challenges. I have been teaching and training for 40+ years, first as a radar controller and then with engineers, project leaders and business owners across three continents. My unique skills include cutting through a person's positions to get to their interests; breaking ferocious problems into bite-sized pieces and fixing them; and establishing rapport with diverse groups - - - heck, even I got British engineers to work with French engineers, well kind of.
Here are some teaching career highlights:
Made an Instructor Radar Controller with only a year of experience (normally three years)
Built a 26-module training program, from scratch, directing the video series for the Air National Guard
Trained dozens of controllers to maneuver fighter aircraft unside the furball of an aerial dogfight
Since 2004, personally built and taught major training courses in systems design and development, Gov't procurement and critical thinking, both virtual and in-person
Contracted by DARPA to build and teach "Innovative Thinking Skills" course to all 35 TTO Project Managers.
Have built new courses "to order", tailored to a client's specific needs (I built the course "World-Class Procurements" for a rapidly growing Middle East client)
Three years teaching business start-up skills to new entrepreneurs. Contracted by US Veteran's Admin and University of Syracuse to teach US military Veterans in Germany and England. Chosen for my experience launching and working with small businesses.
Still actively teaching and speaking publicly.
So-called "experts" who drone on about how we should do things, but offer no personal, hands-on examples, might as well be AI bots. If you haven't personally done something, don't lecture me on how I should do it.
My courses are authentic - - - I did those things, made those mistakes, had those successes and personally learned those lessons. Or I know the people who did and have met with them to "get it right".
